The Talent game is pretty subjective. Need proof? Look to the following list below, of the 10 Worst Entry Level Jobs in Tech, put together by Silicon Valley digital flagship, Valleywag.
So, these are the worst jobs in tech…Really? Because I could go out and find about 1000 candidates for
each one, across America, this Sunday, by doing a simple email blast… It just goes to show you that the tech industry is pretty isolated from the rest of America, because these jobs look pretty good to most Americans. Decent pay, opportunity for a foot in the door at a branded tech name, etc.
Of course, the location of the gigs and the limited labor pool in the area for the money might have something to do with that. Still, if you’re coming up as a college grad and you’re all about social networking, technology and working for a big tech brand, don’t these gigs look great?
One man’s garbage is another man’s treasure. And most of us couldn’t have sniffed this type of gig right out of college…
Follow the links below from the article at Valleywag for each job to see a picture of their locations, a list of key responsibilities, first hand accounts of why each job is so bad and how much they pay.
- Online sales and operations account manager, Google
- Support engineer, Washington-Seattle, Amazon.com
- Content Acquisition Intern, IODA

yep. i’m kinda confused… how are some of these entry level? and are they really that bad? and perhaps we need to really show them up with a “ten worst HR jobs” list. i think we already got started with LOA administrator being right up there at the top…
