There Will Be Blood – Performance Motivation for the Lakers…

Game three tonight of the NBA finals.  If you’re the Lakers, you’re a little flat… Things haven’t been going well, and you need a little boost….

What do you do?

How about throw up the most inflammatory image you can on the jumbotron during the introductions?

If this isn’t a part of the Lakers video intro to game three, the LA marketing people should be fired.  Drag it to the 1:07 mark for the best view…

PS – Kurt Rambis for president…

The Lakers don’t need this kind of motivation. They got their motivation at the end of game 2 when they charged back from a 24 point deficit and showed the Celtics what they are really up against. Also, the lopsided foul calling in game 2 was enough to fire up the Lakers going into Staples Center where they are undefeated in the post-season.

  2. If you believe ESPN today the NBA and the NBA Officials actually want the Lakers to win and have gone as far as fixing games to make it more likely. Not sure that meshes with the lopsided foul calling in game 2.
