Jessica Lee Named Editor at FOT…

Hey FOT Nation –

Like any other death star/corporate entity, we here at Fistful of Talent like to celebrate the career paths of our peeps.  A little gathering in the copy room, maybe a little cake – maybe, just maybe – one of us goes way too far with a joke and makes everyone else a little uncomfortable.  Good times…

But back to the point.  We're here today to recognize the efforts of a FOTer who's been instrumental toJessica Lee the process of getting FOT off the ground.  Hailing from the partisan city of Washington D.C., this FOTer leads the non-KD crew in total postings, has taken meetings and calls on her own to champion the FOT brand, and even appeared on the first two episodes of FOTv at significant risk to her career and reputation.

Yes – I'm talking about Jessica Lee, who's now being promoted to Editor of this thing we call FOT.  She's a Gen Y, so if that gets me two additional mentions in second tier cities when the press release goes out, all the better.

Now, as we bring the lights down and get serious, I'd like to thank JLee for her support of the brand and taking it personal by offering her this promotion.  If she accepts, which I expect her to do publicly in the comments (it's a blog people), she won't be able to quit her day job, but she'll have more work to do.  So she's got that going for her…

Join me in congratulating JLee on the big promo.  I'm still the owner and founder, and will be as active as ever in the editing and content process. While you're at it, hit me in the comments with what my new title should be and remember – my kids read it too…

Congrads Jessica and thanks for everything you've done thus far…

Well, if you can’t beat ‘em, join ‘em:
Party at my place, folks. Josh, can you take care of drinks and Tim, could you please pick up a dozen bags of ice? Kathy’s got a connection at the Golden Corral, so she’s on food, and Maren, would you please do dessert? Everyone else, please bring your good times and your laughter, too. Friends welcome.
We’re gonna party ’til Monday and show Gen Y Jessica what it’s like to have her entire staff call in “not feelin’ the work thing today” when there’s a deadline to meet!
Welcome to management, JLee, it couldn’t've happened to a nicer gal! ;)
