Incentive, reward and recognition programs typically have a specific audience in mind when they are developed.

Peer-2-Peer recognition programs focus on the rank and file workers allowing them to recognize other rank and file employees.  It was radical in the 90’s when it first gained traction but now P2P is pretty much the defacto standard for any company recognition platform.
